 Headteacher's Welcome

Headteacher Janet McMurdo writes:

"Welcome to our website. I hope that you will find it easy to use and that it contains all the information you want to be able to access, whether you are a pupil, a parent or an interested visitor.

The site is continually being developed and updated and our long term aim is to be able to provide you with all the information you need about the work of the school so that children can regularly share what they are doing with their parents and that visitors can get a flavour of what a great place to learn Oundle CE Primary School is.

Janet McMurdo
I have been in the lucky position to be Headteacher of Oundle CE Primary since September 2002. The commitment of the staff team, the lovely children and very supportive parents make it a privilege to work here. In our most recent Ofsted Inspection, in September 2007, we were praised for .

offering a good school which pupils thoroughly enjoy attending.
providing outstanding personal development and well-being for the pupils. Children are very considerate and care for others and their behaviour is outstanding.
.. above average standards across the school in reading, writing and mathematics.

In our Section 48 Diocesan Inspection the lead paragraph stated ..

Excellent leadership and total commitment by the Headteacher and Foundation Governors ensure that the beliefs, teachings and values of the Anglican Church fully permeate every aspect of the school's work and that the special talents of each pupil are extremely well developed in a caring, supportive, happy Christian atmosphere.

This really delighted us as we very much believe in the education of the whole child so that they can become the best they can be in every aspect of their life. We are passionate that a child's happiness and enjoyment of school are as important as academic and personal success. The school team believe that the school should help every child to achieve their full potential. The school is dedicated to ensuring that our children love learning and find success.

We hope that you appreciate our open door policy; please check with us when we are occasionally unclear and remind us of the times you enjoy what we do."
